to see what he could see.

Why is it weird to be nice?
9 out of 10 people prefer nice people to mean people.
(yep, more scientific statistics)
So, it shouldn't be weird to be nice, should it?
nump.
if it is, be weird.
Laurie is one of the weirdest people I know. ;)

So. How are you doing?
Are your eyes twinkling?
Is your face bright?
Do you feeling like laughing for no reason?
Or cry?
How about hugging your mom?
and dad?
yes? no?
I still think you're great.

I had two very unsuccessful kite flying attempts today. The wind was pretty non-existent. So I got McDonalds and sat in a field and then walked up a hill. I like McDonalds. I like fast food in general. judge me -- I still like it. mmmm...fries and ice cream.

I'm content...
Half of me wishes I could go back and change things, but I wouldn't've learned the things I have. I wish I could take away some of the pain I caused myself, and all of the pain I've caused others. But the pattern seems that I won't change until the pain of staying the same exceeds the pain of changing.
I've got a few apologies to make, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to make them.

Here's a couple pictures from the top of the hill I walked up...Click on it to make it bigger, and then you can see the numbers....
1. Snowking Ski Resort. It has $100 season passes, what a deal!
2. Downtown Jackson. Thats where you will find antler arches and an old west shootout every night (except Sunday) at 6:00.
3. Hard Drive cafe. Good hot chocolate and the people who work there are kind.
4. The Post office. Mail me, PO Box 8787, Jackson, WY, 83002
5. The Complex where I live. Notice the creek out back. Oh, and that hill is great for walking up.

This is what I was looking at while I was talking on the phone with Laurie. The yellow flowers are called Balsam Root. There was also some Indian Paintbrush and Lupine. Did you know it's illegal to pick Indian Paintbrush here because it's like the state flower or something, and that you can get a big fine if you do? Yeah, neither did I. oops.
The mountains that you see are the Tetons. In French that means The Breasts. Way to go fur traders. In Oregon I would drive by Cock Rock. Now I see The Breasts every day... I guess before billboards and tv we had to sexualize landscape... ;)

Well, I'm off to bed. But remember to be grateful for the little things. Remind me to do the same.

God is my joy and strength.
sincerely, lisa

  1. I'm jealous of you. I'm going to call you when I'm on an amazing hike and take a picture of the crazy beauty. I LOVED talking with you yesterday! Let's do it again! And PS - you're one of the weirdest people I know ;-)
